Description
Department of Navy, Military Sealift Command (MSC) intends to issue a multiple award Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity contract to eligible vendors to provide MSC ships with worldwide services and supplies for shipboard fixed and portable firefighting system and equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). These services will likely include inspection, certification, and repair of the ships firefighting systems, as well as the inspection and certification of the self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) for each ship. The Government intends to award multiple contracts to maximize competition for each task order. The IDIQ contracts shall remain in effect for five (5) years (if all options years are exercised). Upon issuance of a request for proposal the supplier shall provide a proposal for the required services and/or supplies. The time frame for submission of a quote for each individual task order will be determined by each individual requirement and contingent on the urgency of the requirement. The government requests a capabilities statement from interested vendors. The capabilities statement should include, at a minimum, the vendors' ability to fulfill the requirement as stated, ability to satisfy urgent requirements, any applicable fire systems and equipment certification capabilities, possible travel requirements in support of MSC fleet of approximately 55 ships worldwide, vendor size status and any current or completed contracts for the same or similar services. Only vendors that are able to satisfy the above criteria should express an interest to the government at this time. Vendors shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). Interested vendors should send their capability statements to Mary McNair at email mary.mcnair@navy.mil. If there are any questions please contact Ms. McNair at (757) 443-5884. **NOTE: The attached Performance Work Statement (PWS) is in draft form and subject to change based on refinements to the government's requirement prior to the formal solicitation.
