Description

Notice of upcoming opportunity for concession management of National Forest campgrounds, marina and day use areas on the George Washington & Jefferson National Forests. The George Washington and Jefferson National Forests announce that a prospectus for one or more special use permits for the operation and maintenance of campgrounds, a marina, and day use areas on and near Lake Moomaw will be available soon. These recreation areas are located in Alleghany and Bath Counties in Virginia. A prospectus will be issued on or around July 1, 2016 to solicit applications for two opportunities: (1) Concession operation of campgrounds and day use areas, and (2) Concession operation of a marina and day use areas (and an option to include a boat-in/walk-in only campground). Applicants will have the option to submit a proposal on one or both of the opportunities offered.
