- Question #3: The Powell valve specified in the RFQ is made in China and we are unaware of any 14" check valves that are manufactured in the U.S. With this being the case, how can bidders meet the "Buy American Act" requirement? Answer: I spoke with Powell valves customer service at 11:45 am CST on 30 Mar 2016 and they informed me that they have an option for the required valve that meets the Buy American Act.
