- Purpose of this announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System (FAA AMS) paragraph 3.2.2.4, to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to award a single source contract to JVN Communications, Inc., Absecon. JVN Communications is the original manufacturer for the FIRS tools which includes the SDRR/RBX/FIRS/GSGT toolset. This toolset is needed to support the TGF simulator. The toolset is COTS proprietary. A full and open competition is not available for this requirement. If your firm does not agree with the single source determination, please provide evidence of your firms' capabilities and experience in providing the above services. All responses to this requirement must be directed to Cynthia Hische at Cynthia.Hische@faa.gov no later than 2:00 local time, March 2, 2016. Telephonic inquiries will not be accepted.
