Description
The U.S. Army is issuing this Sources Sought Request for Information (RFI) Notice as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support a requirement for a truck with a cargo box and a rear mounted crane that is capable of safely carrying four (4) missile canisters. Note: each missile canister weighs 4400 lbs. and measures 234" x 43" x 41" (LxWxH). The vehicle shall be capable of loading missile canisters onto a M901 or M902 rocket launcher, the cargo box on the truck, and the ground floor. The required specifications are as follows: 1. 9 Trucks with a cargo box and rear mounted crane with the minimum specifications: a. All-Wheel Drive drivetrain b. Diesel engine able to operate on 10,000 ppm high-sulfur content diesel fuel and JP8 c. Air transportability d. Vehicle shall comply with MIL-STD-461B for Electromagnetic Interference e. Automatic transmission f. Left hand drive g. Cab seating for 2 h. Fording depth of at least 36 inches i. Air conditioning j. Cargo bed at least 165" x 82" (L x W) k. Payload in bed shall be at least 22,000 lbs. l. Able to haul a 22,000 lbs. trailer with a full payload in bed. m. Crane capable of lifting 5400 lbs. a minimum of 16.5 feet radius from rear of truck n. Crane capable of lifting 4500 lbs.' a minimum of 20.5 feet radius from rear of truck o. Outriggers p. Crane shall have 410 slewing angle The results of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code assigned to this procurement is 336212. If your company has the potential capacity and capability to meet these contract requirements, please provide the following information: Part I - General a. Contractor Name b. Contractor CAGE code c. Business Size - Large or Small d. Recommended Brand and Model/Nameplate Solution e. Final assembly location f. Country(ies) in which the components are built g. What is the truck engine's make and model? b. Is the engine able to operate on 10,000 ppm content diesel fuel and JP8? c. Does the truck have automatic transmission? d. Is the truck on an all-wheel chassis? e. What is the maximum cargo bed payload? f. Is there cab seating for 2? g. What is the truck wheelbase (in inches)? h. What are the overall truck dimensions in inches (L x W x H)? i. What is the cargo bed's make and model? j. What is the crane's make and model? k. What is the crane's lifting capacity at 16.5 foot reach? l. What is the fording depth? m. Is the truck able to haul a 22,000 lbs. trailer with a full payload in the cargo bed? n. Does the truck meet MIL-STD-461B? o. Is the truck capable of carrying four (4) missile canisters? p. Is the vehicle capable of loading missile canisters onto an M901 or M902 rocket launcher, the cargo box on the truck, or the ground? q. What is the air transportability of the truck? r. Are there outriggers on the truck? If significant subcontracting or teaming is anticipated in order to deliver technical capability, organizations should address the administrative and management structure of such arrangements. The Government does not wish to obtain any proprietary or otherwise protected documents as a result of this market research. Your input is voluntary and no compensation will be made for your participation in this survey. No classified or proprietary documentation will be accepted. No contract will be awarded from this announcement. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFQ) or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation, nor is it a request seeking participants to be placed on a solicitation mailing list. Responses to this Sources Sought RFI is voluntary and no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this market survey and any follow-on information requests. Data submitted in response to this market survey will not be returned and will be used for program planning purposes. Submission Instructions: Interested parties who consider themselves qualified to support this requirement are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought RFI by 11 March 2016. All responses submitted under this Sources Sought RFI must be submitted via e-mail to Contract Specialist, Mrs. Michelle Barron at michelle.l.barron8.civ@mail.mil. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions.
