- SOURCES SOUGHT This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size relative to NACIS 811219. Responses will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses are not considered responses to any potential solicitation announcement. (DRAFT) STATEMENT OF WORK Maintenance on the Terumo BCT Apheresis Systems I.Specific Statement of Work for Terumo BCT Apheresis Systems Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, parts, equipment, tools, transportation, and supervision to perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on the Spectra and two Optia systems used at the Michael E DeBakey VA Medical Center, 2002 Holcombe Blvd. Houston TX 77024. All perform preventative must be performed by manufacturer licensed professionals using only original equipment manufacturer parts. Following perform preventative, vendor must demonstrate to a MEDVAMC Biomed Technician that the equipment runs properly according to manufacturer specified levels. The description of the work is as follows: "Contractor shall perform PMs and emergency repairs on the Spectra (SN: 1S05028) and two Optia's (SN: 1P00459 and 1P00460) "Contract includes parts, labor, and travel charges for 2 Periodic Maintenance calls and all emergency calls per year. "Contractor will be contacted to verify and document that the Apheresis systems are running properly and communicate with MEDVAMC staff when the Apheresis systems are ready for use. II.PERFORMANCE AND RESPONSE TIME "The Contractor shall respond to service calls, within four hours for telephonic response, and on-site within twenty four hours. This requirement for response time shall be the same for both services calls during the VA normal business hours and after-hour service calls. "All work shall be performed to the satisfaction of the COR who will inspect the repairman's work and indicate his approval on a signed statement prior to the repairman's departure from the premises. "The Government shall not be responsible for incidental charges including, but not limited to, parking, tolls, mileage, phone, etc., on straight time or overtime work. III.Deliveries or Performance "Period of Performance: Base Period: February 24, 2016- February 23, 2017 "Place of Performance: Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center 2002 Holcombe BLVD Houston, TX 77030 All interested firms shall provide the following information: company name, address, point of contact, phone number, email address, capability statement, business size, and DUNS number pursuant to the NAICS code 811219. Responses to this notice shall be e-mailed to Darnell.Rias@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received in writing no later than Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 11a.m. CST. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses are not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
