- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to procure on a non-competitive basis three (3) Work (Maintenance) Stand, 9-39 Feet, P/N B14 and two (2) Work (Maintenance) Stand, 4-21 Feet, P/N B9. These units are required to support initial outfitting for P-8A Aircraft Product Support for the United States Navy. The Government intends to issue a sole source contract to R.E. Atckison, 1801 W. Gladstone Street Azusa, CA 91702-3206. Under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, this firm is considered the only responsible source to perform this effort. R.E. Atckison is the Original Equipment Manufacturer of the B14 Stand and B9 Stands. R.E. Atckison designed and developed these two (2) Part Numbers specifically for the maintenance of the P-8A Aircraft and has proprietary rights to all of the drawings. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
