- NASA/HQ plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for all necessary parts, materials, and labor required to perform preventative maintenance as well as emergency and regular repairs and/or modifications to NASA owned Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Equipment, Keurigs and ice machines. The work for all requirements will be performed at NASA HQ, 300 E. St. SW, Washington, DC 20546. The period of performance of the resultant contract will be for a one-year base period and, four, one-year options. One site visit will be conducted at NASA Headquarters, and is scheduled for February 10, 2016 at 10:00a.m. Attendance is limited to no more than 2 persons for each offeror unless other arrangements are made with the Contracting Officer. All personnel attending the site visit shall be United States Citizents or possess a valid green card assigned to him or her. The names and titles of attendees should be furnished to the Government Representative at least 3 working days (no later than 3:00p.m. local time of February 5, 2016) prior to the site visits. Resident aliens must present their "green card" in order to be admitted to the center. A picture id will be required to obtain a visitors badge for Building Access. Attendance at the site visit is recommended; however, attendance is neither required nor a prerequisite for proposal submission and will not be considered in the evaluation. The government does intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. This procurement is a total economically disadvantaged woman owned small business set-aside. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 238220 and $15M, respectively. The anticipated release date of RFP NNH16574201R is on or about January 28, 2016 with an anticipated proposal due date of on or about February 19, 2016. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable. The Center Ombudsman for this acquisition can be found at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/pub/p ub_library/Omb.html. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
