Description

This modification is to change the primary NAICS code listed on first page of Pre-Solicitation notice from 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction to 238210 (Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors) The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 20 plans to issue a solicitation for the construction services to retrofit infrastructure, electrical systems, install auxiliary campus power, and renewable energy at the VA Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center and Clinics located in White City, Oregon. The project is 100% set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Size status of the successful contractor may be confirmed with the Small Business Administration prior to award. To be eligible to submit a bid the firm shall be registered with and will be verified with the Veterans Administration's Center for Veteran Enterprises (CVE) at www.vetbiz.gov. Firms not certified by the CVE as SDVOSB will not be considered. In accordance with VAAR 836-204 the magnitude range for the project is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Contractors 238210 and the small business size standard is $15,000,000.00 in average annual receipts. Contractor will provide all necessary labor, management, transportation, and materials to retrofit infrastructure, electrical systems, install auxiliary campus power, and renewable energy at VA SORCC. Work includes general construction, alterations, roads, walks, grading, drainage, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, fencing and necessary removal of existing structures and construction and certain other items. The work will be performed in an actively operating medical center and will be phased to minimize down time of critical electrical systems. Solicitation package will be issued on or about January 22, 2016. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued.
