- Requirement was for statewide Multi-functioning Devices (MFDs) for the MT ARNG armory and building locations throughout the entire state. The Army's Computer Hardware, Enterprise Software and Solutions (CHESS) program, under the Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems, is the mandatory source for commercial information technology (IT) hardware and software purchases. CHESS has a unique section for MFDs and this was the contract vehicle used. All seven of the CHESS MFD contract holders were given fair opportunity.
