Description
Seeking certified Drager brand trainer to train Civil Support Team personnel to Level II repair on Drager Safety, Inc of the DHS 7000 breathing systems. Factory certified training and repair is needed to maintain the breathing systems, identify malfunctions and service inoperable or malfunctioning breathing systems. Training must be done to in compliance with OSHA, NIOSH and technical maintenance training identified by Drager Safety, Inc. Draeger level II training is comprised of a certification style training in which students are trained to be proficient in disassembling and reassembling Draeger respiratory systems. This includes positive pressure self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and Draeger BG4 rebreathers. Students will be certified and become familiar with trouble shooting respirators and face pieces. Students will learn to disassemble respirator units and face pieces for maintenance and cleaning. During the Level II training, students will learn to operate the Questar 5000 pressure test system. This is essential for maintaining and certifying personal safety systems up to OSHA standards. Additionally, students will learn to clean and maintain each piece of the Draeger respirator systems to the standard set forth by Draeger. This includes refilling oxygen cylinders, SCBA cylinders and Draeger Sorb scrubbing material. Alarm limits and tolerances are also explained. Face pieces for each system will be explained in depth and broken down to individual pieces in order to replace valves, springs, lenses and other replaceable parts. The theory of operation will be explained in order to better understand the diagnostic troubleshooting procedures for failed protective mask leak tests.
