- This Sources Sought Notice/Request for Information is being posted to satisfy the requirement under the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement 206.302-1(d). The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to enter into sole source negotiations with BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration Inc., San Diego, CA, for a quantity of thirty-two (32) SOCET GXP software license subscription renewals for P-8A Aircraft. Under the authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, the Government intends to issue a sole source contract to BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration Inc. as this company is considered the only responsible source capable to provide the required software licenses. BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration Inc. is the designer and developer of the software currently installed and tested on the P-8, and therefore is the only vendor capable of providing the software licenses to meet the Government requirement. THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 USC 2304(C)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit or award a contract.
