- VENDOR COLLABORATION - Small Business/Civil Engineering Outreach Workshops at Eglin AFB, FL REMINDER: Registration for the 17 February 2016 Small Business / Civil Engineering Outreach Workshop at Eglin AFB, FL WILL CLOSE AT 12:00 p.m. [NOON] (CST) on 3 February 2016. If you need base access, please complete the attached Base Access Affidavit and return it to aac.sb@us.af.mil no later than 3 February 2016 for processing. For registration pruposes, please provide the following information to the same email address ( aac.sb@us.af.mil ). 1) Attendee's Name; 2) Company Name; 3) Attendee's Email Address; and 4) Attendee's Phone Number. Registration for the 22 March 2016 Workshop will open at a later date and the announcement for that will be posted as an amendment to this notice. If you are interested in attending the 22 March 2016 Workshop, you are encouraged to select the "WATCH THIS OPPORTUNITY" button above so you will receive an automatic email notification when the registration announcement/amendment is posted. ______________________________________________________________________ SAVE THE DATES: AFLCMC Small Business Office, Eglin AFB, FL will host no cost half-day Small Business/Civil Engineering Outreach Workshops on 17 February 2016 and 22 March 2016, from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (CST), at the Eglin Conference Center, Bldg 16 for interested small businesses with construction capabilities. The same information will be provided at both workshops. The intent for these workshops is to provide industry insight to typical construction contract opportunities, policies, and procedures. REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN for the 17 February 2016 workshop only. Small businesses with construction capabilities are invited to register for this no cost half-day outreach workshop no later than 12:00 p.m. [noon] (CST) on 3 February 2016. If you need base access, please complete the attached Base Access Affidavit and return it to aac.sb@us.af.mil for processing. For registration purposes, please provide the following information to the same email address ( aac.sb@us.af.mil ): 1) Attendee's Name; 2) Company Name; 3) Attendee's Email Address; and 4) Attendee's Phone Number. We are accepting suggested questions or topic areas you would like us to address during the workshop, such as how are contractors selected for projects, sole source vs. competitive, what is the Government contract format, 50 Divisions, etc. We realize everyone wants to know what the upcoming opportunities are; however, that will be difficult to disclose since projects are driven by funds received. Upcoming opportunities will be addressed in general during the workshop, so we do not need that topic as one of your questions/suggestions. Please provide any other question/suggestion with your registration request and we will do our best to include discussion on it during the workshop. Due to Air Force conference policies and no budget, AFLCMC Small Business Office WILL NOT be providing any beverages or food. The AAFES Food Court is located across the street from the Eglin Conference Center. They serve breakfast and lunch items. Please plan accordingly. AFLCMC Small Business Office, Eglin AFB, FL will open registration for the 22 March 2016 workshop at a later date. DO NOT submit registration for 22 March 2016 at this time. Only registrations for the workshop being held on 17 February 2016 will be accepted at this time. *** MOST IMPORTANT *** REGISTRATION CLOSES at 12:00 p.m. [noon] (CST) on 3 February 2016 for the 17 February 2016 workshop. Base Access Affidavits must be completely filled out, legible, and returned before the registration close date/time. AFLCMC Small Business Office, Eglin AFB, FL will complete a required cover letter for all Base Access Affidavits received and submit them to the 96th Security Forces Squadron (96 SFS), Visitor Center for processing. The 96 SFS will conduct the req uired background checks and notify the Small Business Office when completed. The 96 SFS process takes approximately 3-5 business days. A draft agenda and the directions and maps to the Eglin Conference Center are attached for your use.
