- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: The 673d Contracting Squadron, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. Alaska intends to award a sole source purchase order to Fujifilm Medical U.S.A., Inc. as a result of them being the authorized supplier and maintainer of the PFT Modality Option used with the PACS system within the JBER Hospital and having proprietary firmware and software. This requirement is for the (on-site) upgrade of the Cardiology PACS linking the PFT studies, the EMR, and the Echocardiogram, decreasing human error factors in report processing. This purchase is directed by AFMOA. Due to the requirement for the proprietary firmware and software, only Fujifilm Medical U.S.A., Inc. can fulfill this requirement. This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) & 13.106(b). The anticipated award date is after 11 February 2016. Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the product/services listed above. Deadline date for the submittals is 10 February 2016 at 2 pm Alaska Standard Time. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
