Description
THIS IS ONLY A SOURCES SOUGHT Contractor is to provide all supervision, labor, equipment, and materials to remove from Government property, and to properly dispose of as out lined by both state and federal regulations pertaining to the proper disposal of smoke detector heads. That will be provided by GSA that will be sealed within (2) sealable containers located at The Wilson Gale Building located at 3101 Pennsy Drive Landover, Maryland 20785 Contractor is to arrive at the above job site and will be required to remove (2) sealed containers of smoke detector heads that have been counted and the number of each amount will on the barrel. Contractor will then remove said containers from job site and is then to dispose of the barrels and its contents as required by both State and Federal laws, rules, and regulations for the proper disposal of such materials at an approved EPA (Environmental Protection Agency). Disposal site. Contractor is also to provide GSA with a copy all documents as to verify the proper disposal of said materials for our records to ensure that they have been properly disposed of in accordance to EPA rules and regulations.. All measurements are approximate. Contractor responsible for all final dimensions and measurements. All work shall be executed in a careful and orderly manner with the least possible disturbance to building occupants. All work and materials shall be in compliance with all local and national codes applicable to that type of work. All work shall be performed by licensed personnel in the perspective trades that normally perform that type of work. All penetrations of floors, walls, ceilings, roofs, etc., shall be firestopped and patched to match existing. WORKING HOURS Working hours are defined as follows: NORMAL WORKING HOURS Monday thru Friday, 8:00 AM thru 5:00 PM. Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 am thru 5:00 PM. OTHER THAN NORMAL WORKING HOURS Any time other than that defined above as normal working hours. ACCEPTANCE Upon completion of the work described under this contract, the contracting officer or his / her representative shall make necessary inspection to ensure compliance with all contract requirements before final acceptance by the government. The contractor shall correct all deficiencies found during inspections performed by the Contracting Officer’s representative at no additional cost to the government. SITE CLEANING All materials that are left over and considered refuse or surplus shall be removed by the contractor from the job site on a daily basis. Do not let debris accumulate in the building or on-site. Transport all debris, refuse, and rubbish from the building and property in a manner as to prevent spillage on streets and adjacent areas. Conform to local regulations regarding hauling and disposal of debris. In no case shall contractor debris or trash be disposed of by the transfer to government containers. The premises shall be left in a neat and orderly manner and shall be broom clean and dust free upon completion of work. ACCESS The contractor shall perform all work at the convenience of the Government (GSA) and/or the occupying agency in a neat and professional manner. The Government cannot guarantee parking or loading dock privileges for the contractor vehicle/s during the course of the contract work. In the event the occupying agency should require security clearance or escorts for contract workers, the contractor shall be notified in writing of such requirements prior to start of work and shall comply with all security requests at no cost to the Government. The Government (GSA) will make every attempt to assist the successful bidder to coordinate, gain access, and otherwise expedite the contract work. SUBCONTRACTORS The Contractor shall either directly employ personnel to perform contract work or subcontract the work. When work is subcontracted, the prospective Contractor shall be required to submit to the Contracting Officer the names of any potential subcontractor. In accordance with federal regulation 1-1.1206, the prospective Contractor may be required to demonstrate the responsibility of his prospective subcontractors to the Contracting Officer prior to proceeding with work under this contract. The Contractor’s submission, in regards to a subcontractor, shall include at least (2) references from clients for whom the prospective subcontractor has performed work before. ALL WORK TO BE COMPLETED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF FINAL AWARD.
