- NOTICE: Sources Sought SOLICITATION #: F2F3235349AU01 POSTING DATE: 7 Jan 2016 RESPONSE DATE: 12 Jan 2016 1:00 p.m. CST NAICS Code: 325180 Other Basic Inorganic Chemical Manufacturing SB Size Standard: 1000 This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis (market survey). This is not a request for quote (RFQ) or a request for proposal (RFP). This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The Government will not pay for any cost incurred in responding to this announcement. Any information submitted by respondents to this Sources Sought synopsis shall be voluntary. This Sources Sought Notice is for Market Research purposes only. The information submitted in response to the Sources Sought Notice will not be utilized to determine vendor standing in any future/potential Request for Quote/Request for Proposal, nor will it be utilized to determine if a vendor is qualified to submit a Request for Quote/Request for Proposal for any future/potential requirement. The notice and the information received shall not be used to determine how well respondents can perform a requirement, which can only be evaluated in response to a solicitation. Vendors will not receive formal notification or feedback on any information submitted in this Sources Sought request. All future/proposed submissions/solicitations requirements solicited on a Government Point of Entry will be evaluated independent of any information submitted in response to this Sources Sought Notice. No vendor will be provided information on solicitations issued on a Government Point of Entry based on this Sources Sought request. This Sources Sought Notice is relative to the NAICS code 325180. The Small Business size standard for this NAICS code is 1000. Large and Small Businesses are invited to answer this market survey to determine market capabilities. Hurlburt Field, FL, is conducting market research to determine the existence of potential sources to provide Chlorine and Sulfur Dioxide Delivery to Hurlburt Field, FL. The potential requirement will consist of the contractor providing: The Service Provider shall furnish all vehicles, containers, tools, equipment, parts, materials, supplies and labor for the loading, handling, transportation, unloading of 150 pound Chlorine (210 each total) and Sulfur Dioxide( 90 each total) cylinders. Chlorine gas and Sulfur Dioxide gas must be 100.00 % pure. Facility accessibility is limited delivery vehicle should be no larger than a Freight Liner Business Class delivery truck. No Tractor Trailer Deliveries. Delivery vehicle must be able to deliver to the ground and to a loading dock. 1.02 JOB DESCRIPTION: The work to be performed includes the following principal features: a. Service provider shall transport and unload chlorine cylinders to the following facilities 90601, 90355, 91146, and 91500. b. Service provider shall transport and unload sulfur dioxide cylinders to 91500. c. Service provider shall abide by all federal, state and local laws concerning the transportation and delivery of hazardous chemicals. d. Service provider will provide cylinders and ensure hydrostatic test dates stay current. e. Service provider shall ensure all cylinder valves are properly maintained IAW industry standards. In the event of a cylinder being unable to open it will be exchanged at no cost to the government. f. Service provider should expect deliveries of up to 20 cylinders this includes chlorine and sulfur dioxide. 1.03 PERFORMANCE TIME a. Service provider shall deliver quantity of full cylinders requested (chlorine, sulfur dioxide or both) within 10 business days from being notified. b. Service provider shall ensure all empties are picked up prior to delivery of full chlorine and sulfur dioxide at building 90053 and 91500. c. There will be a maximum of 33 deliveries to Hurlburt Field per year. This will include Water Operations and Wastewater Operations. NOTE: Please submit electronic response indicating capability to supply the aforementioned item(s) via line card or published description (no more than 3 pages) as well as POC (name, telephone # and email address) along with contractor's CAGE, DUNS, and the physical location of your facility to the individuals listed within this notice. All work shall be performed at the contractor's facility. This request may not directly lead to a Request for Quotation/Proposal. Deadline for submission is 12 Jan 2016 1:00 p.m. CST.
