- Description
- NASA/GRC has a requirement for a Stainless SteelGlove Box with Safety Glass Window and one 10" Port on left side. Additional accessories include: secure and mobile transport cart, mounts, Duel Purge, Controller, Sensor, valve, sleeves, gloves, and power outlet. See Specification sheet for custom measurements. (attached) NASA/GRC intends to purchase the items from Terra Universal Inc. Terra Universal manufactures custom made stainless steel glove boxes which can be designed to meet NASA's mission requirements. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:00 p.m. EST time on 01-15-2016. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
