- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, NCIRD/ISD, 1600 Clifton Rd. NE, Mailstop A19, Atlanta, GA, 30333, hereby announces its intent to issue a sole source contract to Merck Sharp & Dohme Corporation 1 Merck Drive Whitehouse Station, NJ 08889-3400 to increase the target quantities of the Zostavax vaccine. NAICS Code: 325412 Period of Performance: 07/01/2015 to 06/30/2016 The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) as cited in FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). CDC needs to modify its adult contract with Merck to expand the maximum doses available to meet increased demand of Zostavax® vaccine. CDC has no other contract with an equivalent vaccine to meet this demand. Responsible sources that believe they possess the expertise and capabilities identified above are encouraged to submit to the Contracting Officer within 15 days from the posting date of this notice, their written capabilities statement, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency for future procurement.
