- Description
- DLA Aviation Philadelphia intends to award a 5 year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), Multiple Award contract for the acquisition of the fuel cells used on the F-18 Legacy Aircraft (A-D). The contract will have a 5 year base. Potential sources must have Navy (NAVICP) source approval in order to be eligible for this award. The source approval process is intense and can be lengthy; as a result, only current approved sources will be considered for this award. The current estimated yearly quantities for each of the six fuel cells are as follows: #1 A/C - 40 each, #1 B/D - 29 each, #2 - 75 each, #3 - 99 each, #4 - 153 each, and #5 - 30 each. The estimated date for the issuance of the RFP is 4 February 2016.
