- AMENDMENT 0001 N00164-16-R-GS52 - SOLE SOURCE - M81757/15-3 AIRCRAFT STORAGE BATTERIES - FSC 6140 - NAICS 335911 Issue Date 23 DEC 2015 - Closing Date 08 JAN 2016 - 4:00 PM EST Amendment 0001 The purpose of this amendment is to issue the formal synopsis for the procurement of M81757/15-3 Aircraft Storage Batteries In Accordance With (IAW) the Statement of Work and Performance Specifications MIL-PRF-81757/15B (AS). A Solicitation will be issued in pursuant to the procedures in FAR Part 13.5 for an anticipated Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract. The required quantities are minimum 20, maximum 250 for M81757/15-3 Aircraft Storage Batteries. Delivery Terms are F.O.B. Destination, Inspection and Acceptance will be at Destination. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division intends to enter in a FFP, IDIQ contract with SAFT AMERICA INC, 711 Industrial Boulevard, Valdosta, GA 31601 (CAGE CODE: 09052). This effort will be conducted on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The basis for restricting competition is that SAFT AMERICA INC's M81757/15-3 Aircraft Storage Batteries have been examined and tested for compliance with specification requirements. SAFT AMERICA INC is the only company listed in the Qualified Products Database, QPL Number QPL-81757, for Batteries and Cells, Storage, Nickel-Cadmium, Aircraft. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. No solicitation/SOW will be made available on FedBizOpps and no hard copies of the solicitation/SOW will be mailed. Responsible Sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received in response to this synopsis will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). Contractors interested in responding with a valid quote may obtain information on registration in the SAM via the Internet at http://www.sam.gov. All changes that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to the FedBizOpps website. For changes made after the closing date, only those offerors that provide a proposal will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and / or award.
