Description Request for Information (RFI) DHA-Military Health Systems General Local Area Network (LAN Requirements DUE: 7 December 2015 The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN) Atlantic, Code 434D0 is seeking information on commercially-available LAN Network Equipment. The Equipment must be capable of the following: CLIN DESCRIPTION U/M QTY 0001 IEEE 802.11ac Access Point EA 217 0002 Access Point FIPS Kits EA 217 0003 Wireless LAN Controller to support 217 APs Identify each license type, i.e. AP licenses, IDS license, firewall license, included in the controller price or list licenses as separate line items. Redundant N+1 Hardware EA 2 0004 Wireless LAN Controller FIPS Kit EA 2 0005 1-Week Formal Classroom Training for 2 Site Network Administrators (1st year after installation) EA 0006 Hardware Warranty on New Components (1 year RMA replacement for any failures after installation) EA 1. Technical Specifications/Salient Characteristics All recommended products need to be on the DISA Unified Capabilities (UC) Approved Product List (APL). Recommended network solution must be a single manufacturer enterprise solution. Access Point Minimum Requirements - (CLIN 1): Must support the use of internal antennas Must be capable of providing full access point functionality with IEEE 802.af Power over Ethernet. Must support operating in both the 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz spectrum at the same time. Must support a minimum of two spatial streams Must support 3x3 MIMO Must be FIPS 140-2 validated by the NIST Must provide FIPS 140-2 part number if encryption is done on the AP. Must be approved by the DISA Unified Capabilities (UC) Approved Product List (APL) for deployment as a Wireless Local Area Network (LAN) Access System (WLAS) Must be approved by Military Health Systems (MHS)/Defense Health Agency (DHA) and included in the MHS Wireless LAN (WLAN) 2.5 accreditation package. Wireless LAN Controller Minimum Requirements (CLIN 3) Redundant N+1 Hardware. The N is the number of Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC) required to support the number of active APs. The +1 must support the ability for all APs on the largest WLC to failover. Must support basic wireless intrusion detection Identify interfering APs/devices Identify possible rogue APs/devices Must support the ability to restrict external devices from accessing the controllers IP address using access control lists. Must support Role Based Access authentication control for wireless users via IEEE 802.1x and EAP-TLS. Must be FIPS 140-2 validated by the NIST Must be approved by the DISA Unified Capabilities (UC) Approved Product List (APL) for deployment as a Wireless Access Local Area Network (LAN) Access System (WLAS) Must be approved by Military Health Systems (MHS)/Defense Health Agency (DHA) and included in the MHS Wireless LAN (WLAN) 2.5 accreditation package. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------- Review of this information is being performed by SSC-LANT Code 43430, which aims to conduct objective comparative assessments and validations of commercial products to determine if the solution meets the Governments requirements. All information received will be treated as public knowledge and may be used in SSC-LANT documentation; therefore, vendors should not submit proprietary information in response to this RFI. Specific information sought includes: 1. Company information, including name, address, URL, revenue, and number of employees. 2. Whether the company is a manufacturer or distributor. 3. A point of contact for follow-up information, and the point of contacts phone number and e-mail address. 4. Product name and a description of features. 5. Cost information such as purchase price and General Services Administration (GSA) schedule information. The submitted information will be evaluated for inclusion in SSC-LANT projects. If a SSC-LANT project requiring this type of equipment is executed, the equipment selection will be based upon a number of factors, including responder surveys and focus group inputs. Consequently, follow-up requests for feedback should not be made through Federal Business Opportunities posting agency. Vendors may be contacted following submission for more detailed product information.
