- Justification and Approval for other than Full and Open Competition Description: THIS REQUIREMENT IS FOR FOREIGN MILITARY SALES AND IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The United States Army intends to solicit and award a Sole Source five year, Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with Datron World Communications, Inc 3055 Enterprise Court, Vista CA 92081 in support of Foreign Military Sales in accordance with FAR part 6.302-1, Only one responsible source. The Government intends to procure Datron Family of High Frequency/Very High Frequency Radios, Ancillary Equipment, Spare Parts and Installation Kits. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c )(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other suppliers or services will satisfy agency requirement. This synopsis is not a request for proposals. Request for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
