- The Department Of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 15 intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C 253(c) (1) - FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, to General Electric Company, 3000 N Grandview Blvd. Waukesha, WI 531881615. General Electric Company will provide unlimited full service coverage and corrective maintenance on the Definium 8000, as well as labor, travel, parts, software upgrades, and loaners for that maintenance. This will be a firm-fixed price contract. The place of performance is for the Robert J Dole VA Medical Center located at 5500 East Kellogg, Wichita, KS 67218. The NAICS code is 811219 (Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance) with a size standard of $20.5 Million. The solicitation number is VA255-15-Q-1026. This action will result in a Firm-Fixed Price contract with a period of performance of twelve (12) month Base year plus four option years. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations; interested parties may express their interest by providing a capabilities statement NLT 16 September 2015 at 2:00 PM CST. The capabilities statement must provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate the capability of the party to provide the required services. A determination not to compete this proposed contract upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to Announcement VA255-15-Q-1026 Notice of Intent. If after 16 September, 2015, no viable responses have been received in response to this announcement, Department Of Veterans Affairs shall negotiate solely with General Electric Company. This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive quotes. There will be no solicitation available for competitive quotes. Phone calls will not be accepted.
