- This is a Total Small Business Set Aside requirement for the remanufacture of the F-16 Cylinder Assembly. The contractor shall provide all labor, facilities, equipment and all material to accomplish the remanufacture, test, packing, preservation and packaging of the F-16 Cylinder Assembly. A firm fixed priced IDIQ type contract is contemplated. The solicitation number will be FA8118-15-R-0071. Solicitation will be issued on or about: 25 SEP 2015 and closes 24 OCT 2015. Upon issuance of the COMPETITIVE solicitation, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. This notice of intent does not in itself represent the issuing of a formal request for proposal and is not intended to be taken as such. The requirements set forth in this notice are defined per PR FD2030-15-01626 as follows: Item 0001: Remanufacture/Modify, NSN 1680-00-249-3833RK, P/N: 3213790-5-1, NSN 4810-01-252-9429, P/N 68A640033-1003, Noun, Cylinder Assembly; Applicable to F-16 aircraft; Quantity: Min: 5, Max: 45 Item 0002: Data IAW DD 1423 (not separately priced). Item 0003: Over and Above Work. Deliveries are to be 2 each 90 days ARO and 2 each every 60 days thereafter. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS APPLY. Award will be based on meeting our requirements and cannot be delayed pending qualifications of additional sources. APPROVED SMALL BUSINESS SOURCES are: Airtronics Inc. and Texas Aerospace. NOTE: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
