- Justification and Approval This is a NOTICE OF INTENT for a sole source contract to Pitney Bowes, Inc, 3001 Summer St., Stamford, CT, 06926-4317. The sole source authority is in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). The requiring activity for this requirement is the 460th Contracting Flight, Buckley Air Force Base, CO. The proposed contract action is for maintenance and servicing of the Pitney Bowes Connect +2000 mail meter system, which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Pitney Bowes, Inc., on a sole source basis due to the proprietary nature of this equipment, related systems, and the need for certified technicians. The NAICS Code is 811213 and the small business standard size is $11,000,000.00. Any offerors believing they can provide the required maintenance and services on the Pitney Bowes Connect +2000 mail metering system may provide evidence for consideration by notifying this office in writing by e-mail. The Government will not pay for any material provided in response to this synopsis nor return the data provided. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely within the discretion of the Government.
