- Room layout Shelving configuration OFFADD: 42 CONS/LGCA 50 LeMay Plaza South Montgomery, AL 36112 SUBJECT: Spacesaver High-Density Storage System DUE: 18 September 15 POC: Lori Bartz, Contract Specialist, Phone: (334) 953-5005; Fax (334) 953-3543 DESC: The 42 nd Contracting Squadron at Maxwell Air Force Base is requesting information for Spacesaver High-Density Storage System capable of housing 200,000 documents, 1,300 books and 160 archival storage boxes. This is a Request for Information (RFI) ONLY. It is not a Request for Proposal (or solicitation) or an indication a contractual commitment will exist for this requirement. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT INTEND TO AWARD A CONTRACT ON THE BASIS OF THIS RFI OR OTHERWISE PAY FOR THE INFORMATION SOLICITED. The purpose of this market research (Source Sought) is to determine if the High Density Storage System below is commercially available. CLIN 0001: High Density Storage System ( QTY 1 Each) 2.0. System must maintain 18" clearance over top, to ceiling. Must provide closed uprights, tops, 3 movable dividers, per opening, per 12 & 13.5 vertical spacing. Must have laminated end panels supports 3-spoke ergonomic turn handle with aisle color-coded safety lock & exterior chain tensioner without removal of face panel. 2-piece low-profile levelable rail, infinite adjustment, supported by 8000 lbs. PSI non-shrink grout for continuous support. Raised floor and ramp to be re-covered, using existing floor covering. Shelving to be vertically adjusted every 1-1/2". Back panel to be placed on outside stationary unit. Lifetime warranty on structural members. Minimum 5-year warranty on turn handle. Operation of 1 revolution on turn handle moves system 4.75 inches and 1 pound of effort moves system. CLIN 0002: Delivery ( QTY 1 Each) CLIN 0003: Installation. ( QTY 1 Each) Firms responding to this RFI are asked to provide the following information in their initial response: company's full name, business size, address, point of contact, and a clear indication as to whether or not they can provide the items the government is seeking. Final responses to this RFI will be due at 2pm, Central Standard Time (CST), on 18 September 15. As industry may expect to see portions of submitted information in future solicitations, portions of the response containing proprietary information should be clearly marked as such. Information submitted will not be returned to the respective respondents. Oral submissions of information are not acceptable and will not be accepted in response to this notice.
