- September 9, 2015 NOTICE OF INTENT The purpose of this notice is to inform the commercial market of the Government's intent to make award to Karis Innovation, LLC. for Swimage Encore Maintenance Renewal. This requirement will be made on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1. Karis Innovation, LLC. states that it is the sole owner of the rights to sell and license the Swimage. CI special agents lend their financial investigative expertise to money laundering and narcotics investigations conducted in conjunction with other law enforcement agencies at the local, state, and federal levels. The purpose of this acquisition is to procure SWIMMAGE software maintenance for CI Field Offices. This is a request for maintenance/technical support renewal on software that was purchased in previous years. Purchasing the renewal is critical to protect our initial investment and to assure the functionality in production. Their staff is experts, and must complete all related maintenance assignments to stay in compliance with warranties. Failure to renew the software maintenance and support would result in a huge monetary loss, as well as work stoppages. It will take months of critical evaluation to test another product, causing loss in man hours and services. Karis Innovation, LLC is a sole source of Swimage Software and Support since 6/15/2015. This notice of intent to award should not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a formal Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quote (RFQ) or contract. Any information provided to the Government is strictly voluntary. Responses to the notice of intent to award will not serve as proposals, bids, or offers which could be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. As such, the Government will not cover any cost for any information or inquiry submitted as a result of this notice. Include the name, e-mail address and telephone number of the Point of Contact should the Government have questions regarding individual responses to this notice.
