- Contractor/Company Information Sheet SOURCE SOUGHT IS NOT CONSIDERED A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL The U.S. Department of State (DOS) Sources Sought only. Contractors are requested to read and respond to the below and attached requirements accordingly. The responses from this notice may be used as market research to determine an acquisition strategy for an imminent anticipated competitive acquisition. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals and does not bind the U.S. Department of State to any agreement, written or implied. Submission of any information to this market survey is purely voluntary. DOS assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred by respondents. No proprietary, classified, confidential, or sensitive information should be included in the response. No solicitation document is available, and telephone and e-mail requests for a copy of the solicitation will not be honored. Any response to this notice must accompany details expressing clear and convincing evidence of prospective contractors experience, capability and capacity to perform this requirement. This requirement is in its infant stage of development; therefore the information collected is for market research. The Department of State, Office of Acquisition Management, is issuing this Sources Sought Synopsis, as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support his requirement for Bureau of Consular Affairs, Office Systems and Technology Business Intelligence and Enterprise Reporting Team. The results of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement and will assist DOS in developing strategies. This market research will identify potential small business sources (including 8(a) business development participants, veteran-owned small businesses, service disabled veteran-owned small businesses (SDVOSB), HUB Zone small business concerns, small disadvantaged businesses, women-owned small business concerns and economically disadvantaged women-owned small business concerns. If your company has the capacity to perform the services outlined, please provide the following information: Organization name, address, e-mail address, web site address, telephone number, point of contact, size of business, qualified small business category and certification, type of ownership (including country of ownership) for the organization, DUNS Number, Cage Code, SAM information. Request your company submit any GSA Federal Supply Schedules (FSS) with schedule number, and/or other Government-wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) that would permit the company to perform under the given NAICS/requirement description. The NAICS code for these services is 611430.   Requirements for DoS SAP HANA Professional Services and Training The company must provide expert advice and consultation services for all CA/CST teams who will have a role in supporting SAP HANA. The various users will be: • Analysts and trainers or users in the field, with varying levels of need or skill using BO tools or HANA data visualization tools for running reports or creating data visualizations • Data scientists (considered "super users") - to use BO or HANA tools for analytics, statistical functions, and visualizations • Varying responsibilities and groups such as system administrators - to be able to perform system administrator duties for the HANA appliance and also for the Business Objects software; Database administrators; service desk assistance, etc. • Enterprise Reporting developers as well as other development groups who many need to use the tools. The following are examples of the types of support that will be required and will change depending on the timing and audience. Subject Matter Expert(s) required on the following: • SAP HANA Platform Architect (Best Practices and optimization) • SAP Replication Server Architect - HANA (Replication from HANA primary to secondary for failover and DR) • BI tools (e.g., Explorer and Lumira) (Best practices on how to use/implement these tools and the audiences that best fit their use) • SAP Replication Server Architect - Sybase (Replicating data from CCD or Exadata to HANA (Sybase Replication is used)) • Operating System Administration • Database Administration The company must be able to provide on-line training to meet CA/CST users who will support SAP HANA. • Provide a vast selection of SAP HANA online content that will be accessible to users 24/7/365; • Offer up-to-date course materials on SAP HANA that are relevant to the needs of the various CA users who have different knowledge and training requirements related to HANA and SAP Business Objects tools; • Allow users to access any course online simultaneously; • Offer a wide range of online training content that meets the needs of IT professionals (i.e. technical specialist, architects, DBAs, etc.) as well as business users of the reporting tools; • Provide online or hard copy documentation that can be used as quick reference guides; and • Revise and refresh leaning content on a regular basis to ensure that the needs and demands of CA/CST's SAP HANA support team will be fulfilled. Information Submission Instructions : The deadline for submitting capability statements relating to this announcement is 10AM (ET) Thursday 17 September, 2015. Responses are limited to 5 pages not including cover page and table of contents. Responses must be submitted electronically, formatted in Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel (any version). Margins must be 1" on all sides, to print on 8 ½" x 11" paper. Typeface must be Times New Roman, 12 pt. font. Responses should be specific to the attached specifications. No responses shall be accepted via US Mail or Fax. All responses to this Sources Sought Notice must be submitted electronically to Melissa Tyson via e-mail at TysonMR@state.gov and Edward Baran, Contracting Officer, via e-mail at BaranEJ@state.gov and shall have the words " SAQMMA15I0068 - < SAP HANA Professional Services and Training > " in the subject line. Telephone inquiries WILL NOT be accepted or acknowledged. No mail courier responses will be accepted. Interested parties shall also complete the Contractor/Company Information Sheet which is attached. At this time, the U.S. Department of State does not guarantee that any future contracts may be awarded covering the aforementioned duties and responses to this Sources Sought notice do not bind the U.S. Department of State to any agreement with the responder, be it explicit or implied.
