- U.S. Customs and Border Protection intends to award a purchase order to EnerSys Corp under GSA contract GS 07F 9832H, not to exceed $73,500.00 for Odyssey Extreme series re-chargeable batteries. Prior purchases and market research still find this vendor to be the lowest price and the best performance for any battery of its type. These items must be exact matches to parts already being used on current custom fabricated communications structures. ALL parts, etc. must fit exactly and be interchangeable with the current configuration of existing and future structures. The purpose for such a large dollar amount is for the fabrication of up to 12 additional structures. All structure components must be interchangeable for maintenance and/or replacements.
