- SUBJECT: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE TO BIO-TEK SERVICES,INC, FOR ON-SITE BIANNUAL MAINTENANCE AND CALIBRATION OF 100 SINGLE CHANNEL AND 18 MULTII-CHANNEL PIPETTES AND FOUR (4) BOTTLE TOP DISPENSERS FOR THE EDGEWOOD CHEMICAL BIOLOGICAL CENTER, ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, MD 21010-5424. The U. S. Army Contracting Command, Tenant Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD intends to negotiate solely (as prescribed in FAR 6.302-1) with, Bio-Tek Services, Inc, 5310 Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA 23231-6724. The contractor shall provide the following On- site Biannual Maintenance and Calibration of 100 single channel and 18 multi-channel pipettes and four (4) bottle dispensers. The contractor is an ISO9001:2008 Registered Company as well as ISO/IEC 17025 and shall provide all labor, supervision, material, OEM parts, N.I.S.T. traceable standards, certified balances for field use with resolution of 0.000001g, authorized equipment, transportation, and any other items necessary to perform preventative maintenance, repair, and calibration of the listed items. This is for a firm fixed contract for period of performance of 12 months with a two (2) year option plan. Awarding to another contractor would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition, and unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 811219 and the size standard is $19,000,000.00. Responses to this notice must be received no later than 1:00 PM, Eastern Standard Time, 8 September 2015. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation of offers.
