- (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR Part 13, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) The solicitation number is 115053. This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). (iii) A statement that the solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-83. (iv) This solicitation is a Small Business Set-Aside competition. Offerors must certify (either in SAM or by a completed 52.212-3) as a small business under the NAICS code 541519, small business size standard $27.5 million, to be considered for award. (v) Contract line item number(s): CLIN 0001 -- Microsoft RMS 2.0 Store Operations Maintenance for 12 lanes (Base Year) CLIN 0002 -- Microsoft RMS 2.0 Store Operations Pro-Rated Maintenance (483 days lapsed as of 9/1/2015) for 12 lanes CLIN 1001 -- Microsoft RMS 2.0 Store Operations Maintenance for 12 lanes (Option Year 1) CLIN 1002 -- Microsoft RMS 2.0 HQ Maintenance for 5 clients (Option Year 1) CLIN 2001 -- Microsoft RMS 2.0 Store Operations Maintenance for 12 lanes (Option Year 2) CLIN 2002 -- Microsoft RMS 2.0 HQ Maintenance for 5 clients (Option Year 2) CLIN 3001 -- Microsoft RMS 2.0 Store Operations Maintenance for 12 lanes (Option Year 3) CLIN 3002 -- Microsoft RMS 2.0 HQ Maintenance for 5 clients (Option Year 3) NOTE: CLIN 0002 is not the same as CLINs 1002, 2002, and 3002. (vi) Description: The Bureau of Engraving and Printing utilizes Microsoft Retail Maintenance System (RMS) 2.0 Headquarters and Store Operations point of sale software. BEP is not currently receiving maintenance on Store Operations and must have the pro-rated maintenance for the lapse (483 days). BEP is currently receiving HQ maintenance until 8/31/16 and intends to continue this maintenance under the award resulting from this solicitation. (vii) The required period of performance: Base Year: 09/01/2015 - 08/31/2016 Option Year 1: 09/01/2016 - 08/31/2017 Option Year 2: 09/01/2017 - 08/31/2018 Option Year 3: 09/01/2018 - 08/31/2019 (viii) FAR Provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. (ix) FAR Provision 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, applies. The following factor shall be used to evaluate quotes conforming to the solicitation: price. (x) Offerors must either include a completed copy of FAR Provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its offer or have the provision complete in SAM. (xi) FAR Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. There are no addenda to the clause. Answer: BEP's HQ Maintenance was purchased from Immedia Systems through a purchase card. This support ends 09/01/2016. BEP is not receiving Store Operations Maintenance (which is the need for CLIN 0002). Quotes remain due at 10:00am ET on 28 Aug 2015 (changed to 3:00pm ET 31 Aug 2015).
