- This is an amendment to a previously issued Request for Quotation for removal and replacement of siding elements, preparation and cleaning of exterior building, staining of siding and painting of hardware, exterior doors, and windows at the Bear Valley Visitor Center located at Point Reyes National Seashore. The amendment is issued for the purpose of providing interested parties additional information via a Question and Answer, as follows: QUESTION1: Please confirm that no bid bond or security is required to be submitted with our bud for this solicitation. ANSWER 1: As reference in Section I. 14, the Contractor shall submit one of the following payment protections: (i) A payment bond or (ii) An irrevocable letter of credit (ILC). This will be required from the winning contractor and not required to be turned in with quotation. The Government intends to award a single, fixed price service contract. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) will include three (3) base line items. The period of performance for base and option item work is estimated to be September 14, 2015 through October 30, 2015. Award selection will be based on the responsible firm whose offer conforming to this RFQ will be most advantageous to the Government, on the basis of the lowest evaluated price meeting or exceeding the acceptability standards for non-cost factors (technical capability and past performance). The North American Standard Industrial Classifications System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 238320, with a corresponding size standard of $15.0 million. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. Offers are solicited only from small business concerns. Offers received from concerns that are not small business shall be considered nonresponsive and will be rejected. In order to be eligible for award contractor must have an active Sam.gov registration at the time of award. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be available on/about August 13, 2015 by electronic means only and attachments can be downloaded only from FedConnect website at http://www.fedconnect.net. Attachments are not posted to FedBizOpps but you can find a link on http://www.fbo.gov, with the message "Click here to see more information about this opportunity on Fed Connect." Interested parties are responsible for periodically checking the website for any Amendments that may be issued prior to the closing date of the RFQ.
