Description
SOURCES SOUGHT FOR BASE OPERATIONS SUPPORT (BOS) SERVICES, U.S. NAVY SUPPORT FACILITY, DIEGO GARCIA, BRITISH INDIAN OCEAN TERRITORY. This is a Sources Sought announcement only. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. No telephone calls will be accepted requesting a bid package or solicitation because there is no bid package or solicitation available. In order to protect the procurement integrity of any future procurement, if any, that may arise from this announcement, information regarding the technical point of contact will not be given and no appointments for presentations will be made. Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Pacific, Services Contracts Division, is seeking information on establishing a new contract for Base Operations Support (BOS) services for Navy Support Facility (NSF), Diego Garcia. Located in the north central Indian Ocean, Diego Garcia is an atoll in the Chagos Archipelago and is a part of the British Indian Ocean Territory owned and controlled by the British Government. NSF Diego Garcia ™s primary mission is to provide logistic support to the operating forces for all U.S. military forces deployed in the Indian Ocean and Persian Gulf areas. Base Operations Support (BOS) Services are essential to the maintenance and operation of Diego Garcia. The BOS contractor work force serves a total on-island population of approximately 2000 people. When solicited, the proposed contract shall be awarded to joint ventures exclusively between U.S. and U.K. firms unless no qualified joint venture firm submits a reasonable offer. In that event, the competition shall be opened to United States firms. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 561210. The applicable size standard is $38.5 million. The proposed BOS contract will include the following requirements/Annexes: 0100000 General Information, 0200000 Management and Administration, 0304000 Information Technology Services, 0304010 Information Technology Support and Management, 0304030 Telephone System and Services, 0304050 Telecommunication Services, 0304060 Antenna Maintenance, 0402000 Fire and Emergency Services, 0501040 Ground Electronics, 0501050 Airfield Facilities, 0501070 Passenger Terminal and Cargo Handling, 0600000 Port Operations, 1000000 Supply, 1003000 POL Management and Operations, 1004000 Retail Services, 1200000 Morale, Welfare and Recreation, 1300000 Galley, 1402000 Unaccompanied Housing, 1403000 Navy Gateway Inns and Suites (NGIS), 1501000 Facility Management, 1502000 Facility Investment, 1503010 Custodial, 1503020 Pest Control, 1503030 Integrated Solid Waste Management, 1503050 Grounds Maintenance and Landscaping, 1503060 Pavement Clearance,1602000 Electrical, 1603000 Compressed Gases, 1604000 Wastewater, 1605000 Steam, Hot Water, Demineralized Water, 1606000 Water, 1700000 Base Support Vehicles and Equipment, and 1800000 Environmental. Interested sources are invited to respond to the Statement of Interest Questionnaire by using the form provided under a separate file, titled Statement of Interest Questionnaire. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement and any follow-up information requests. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. However, NAVFAC Pacific will utilize the information for acquisition planning purposes. All data received in response to this Source Sought Notice marked or designated, as corporate or proprietary information will be fully protected from release outside the Government.
