- Industry Day DRAFT SOW CVN Mid-Atlantic Private Sector Maintenance Contract Update: The Statement of Work attachment has been updated. Please see the modified SOW DRAFT labeled "Industry Day DRAFT SOW." Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) will hold an Industry Day conference on Friday, 7 August 2015, at Norfolk Ship Support Activity, Regional Maintenance Center, 9727 Avionics Loop, Bldg. LF-18, Granby Room, Norfolk, VA 23511-2124. The event will begin at 0900 and conclude at 1600 EST. This time will allow for networking opportunities among industry teams. The conference will be hosted by Naval Sea Systems Command SEA 02 and PMS 312 for the purpose of discussing the Navy's plan for CVN 68 Class and CVN 78 Class Aircraft Carriers maintenance and repair strategy during FY 16-21. The Industry Day will begin with a presentation and overview of the intended requirement lead by the PCO; after the presentation, the Navy will allow for a 20 minute one-on-one session in the afternoon for those companies interested. Companies interested in participating in this one-on-one session shall notify Mr. Morgan Davis, via email, at morgan.davis@navy.mil. This contract will be awarded as a "C" type contract and will address all aspects, including but not limited to, the planning and execution of all maintenance, repair, and modernization efforts, for CVN 68 Class and CVN 78 Class Aircraft Carriers homeported in and visiting the Hampton Roads, VA area for a 5 year period during FY16 through FY21. The Government has provided the following information as an attachment to this announcement: 1. The draft solicitation Statement of Work. NAVSEA requests that firms interested in attending the Industry Day submit company names and attendee lists no later than 2PM Eastern Time, 3 August 2015 via e-mail to Mr. Morgan T. Davis, SEA 024, Contract Specialist, morgan.davis@navy.mil. The subject line of the RSVP email shall be limited to: Industry Day RSVP from (Company Name). The body of the email shall include each attendee's name, Position/Title, email address, phone number, and indicate whether they have a Common Access Card (CAC) or military ID in order to access the base. Companies are asked to send no more than five (5) representatives as seating may be limited. Advance questions regarding the draft Statement of Work are encouraged and should be submitted to Mr. Morgan T. Davis, no later than 03 August 2015, in order for the briefing to be as informative as possible. NAVSEA will not be answering any questions during or after the briefing, however, questions submitted in writing are encouraged. It is the responsibility of Industry, when providing any questions or comments, to properly mark information that is considered proprietary or is otherwise restricted. Industry questions and answers resulting from the briefing or draft Statement of Work will be made publicly available after the Industry Day event via the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website( https://www.fbo.gov/ ). The originator of the question will not be revealed in the responses that are posted. This Special Notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a contract or order. NAVSEA does not assume liability for costs incurred by an attendee or for travel expenses or marketing efforts; therefore, attendee costs in response to this notice are not considered an allowable direct charge to the Government.
