- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to solicit for the provision of Pathology and Cytology Services to be rendered for the inmate population incarcerated at the Federal Medical Center located in Lexington, Kentucky. The successful contractor will be responsible for providing the professional services of a board certified pathologist whom will make monthly on-site visits to FMC Lexington. In addition, the successful contractor will be responsible for the transportation and testing of specimens from FMC at their own laboratory. The estimated requirement for service is two hours of on-site pathologist visits monthly and the transportation and testing of an estimated 432 specimens annually. The Government contemplates awarding of an indefinite-delivery, requirements type contract consisting of a 12 month base period with four 12 month option periods for renewal. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 621511 (Size Standard: $32.5 million). This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The solicitation will be made available on or about July 31, 2015 and will be distributed solely through this website. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is August 28, 2015. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
