- Sole Source Justification The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention contemplates award of a sole source, firm-fixed-price purchase order to Getty Images, Inc., 605 5th Avenue S, Suite 400, Seattle, WA 98104-3887, for subscription access to Getty’s online subscription database, which includes over 10.8 million royalty-free images, 41 premium royalty-free collections and 2 user-generated collections, for use by 50 license holders in CDC’s Division of Communications Services. Metadata is provided on a monthly basis, if requested, which indicates which images have been downloaded by which user. The images downloaded and used in projects during the subscription period shall be used in projects after the term expires, even if the subscription is not renewed. The available images are in large format, up to 50MB, up to 500,000 print runs, and up to 100 downloads per month/license. This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responses received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any response should be emailed to the purchasing agent at lml3@cdc.gov by 4:30 p.m. EDT, August 4, 2015.
