- Description
- The US Forest Service on the National Forests of North Carolina, Pisgah Ranger District, has a requirement for road repairs on the Silvermine Rd, NFSR-162. Work includes but is not limited to, removal and disposal of two damaged low water crossing structures (fords), installation of two new low water crossing structures (fords), roadway reconditioning & surfacing, traffic control, erosion control, and seeding. Project is located just east of Hot Springs, NC (Madison County); along Silver Mine Creek, on the east side of the French Broad River. From Asheville, take I-26 W to Exit 19A to merge onto US-25N/US-70W toward Marshall. Travel about 25.9 miles to a right onto River Rd. Travel about 500 ft. and then turn left on Silver Mine Rd. Travel about 0.4 mile to project site. The magnitude of the project is between $25,000 and $100,000. A bid guarantee is not required. A Payment Bonds will be required of the successful offeror. The solicitation will be available on this site on or about 7 August 2015. A site visit will be held at the site location; the time, date, and location will be listed on the solicitation.
