- STATEMENT OF WORK MENTAL HEALTH SERVICE LINE's 2015 MENTAL HEALTH SUMMIT 1. GENERAL: The William Jennings Bryan Dorn VA Medical Center has a requirement to host the 2015 Mental Health Summit. 2. Description of Services/Introduction: The contractor shall provide a conference center large enough to accommodate approx.150 participants. 3. Background: Specific guidance reference holding this annual event was received on May 29, 2013 by the Under Secretary for Health who released a Memorandum instructing each Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center to hold a Mental Health (MH) Summit. This was in line with an Executive Order of August 31, 2012 charging VA to ensure that Veterans and their families receive needed mental health services in partnership with community providers through "an integrated network of support" within a public health model. 4. Objectives: The contractor shall provide: - a conference center large enough to accommodate 150 participants - sufficient parking for 150 individuals - an LCD display package - a lite food & beverage service - be within 3 to 4 miles of the WJB Dorn Medical Center in Columbia, SC The contractor shall perform to the standards in this contract. 5. Period of Performance: The period of performance shall be for one day only Friday, September 11, 2015, 7:00 - 4:30PM. 6. Place of Performance: The work to be performed under this contract will be performed at a site (conference center) no more than 3 to 4 miles from the WJB Dorn Medical Center in Columbia, SC.
