- A solicitation for the procurement of one (1) Tainter Gate with the option to procure up to three (3) additional Tainter Gates will be posted to the Government Point of Entry, Army Single Face to Industry (https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/), and FedBizOpps (FBO) website (www.fbo.gov) shortly. The solicitation will not be available in paper format. The solicitation will require that quotes are submitted electronically. Faxed quotes will not be accepted. The solicitation will be issued in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The award resulting from the solicitation will be a Firm Fixed Price, Commercial Supply contract. An offeror shall have a Commercial and Government Entity Code (CAGE Code) active at the System for Award Management (SAM) (www.sam.gov) prior to the response date for quotes. The requirement will include but is not limited to the full fabrication, testing, painting, and delivery of a Tainter Gate to the U.S. Government. Quotes will be evaluated on a Lowest Price, Technically Acceptable Basis. Evaluation criteria will be detailed in the solicitation at the clause FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation - Commercial Items. The period of performance for the base plus options are as follows: Base (One Tainter Gate) - 730 days after date of award Option 1 (One Tainter Gate) - no extension Option 2 (One Tainter Gate) - additional 365 days Option 3 (One Tainter Gate) - no extension Base plus all options is 1,095 days after date of award. The procurement is set-aside for 100% small business under NAICS 332312, with a size standard of 500 employees.
