- This is a Request for Information (RFI) only. This is not a Request for Proposal, a Request for Quotation, or Invitation for Bids. There is currently no solicitation package available. A requirement by the Government exists for a five (5) year Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) for the procurement of spare parts required to support the M31 Arresting Gear System. It is required that a catalog parts list consisting of spare parts be acquired and stored in the supply warehouse to ensure the availability of all parts that are required to maintain readiness. These spare parts include Critical Safety Items (CSI). A CSI is a part, assembly, or support equipment whose failure could cause loss of life, permanent disability or major injury, loss of a system, or significant equipment damage. CSI's can only be procured from approved vendors and will undergo additional inspection and acceptance requirements. All corporate and proprietary information should be so marked and will be fully protected to the extent allowed. This RFI is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any follow-on acquisitions. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or otherwise pay for the information solicited. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of submission of responses to this RFI and Government use of such information. This RFI does not constitute the solicitation of proposals. Responders to this RFI may be requested to provide additional details/information based on their initial submittals.
