- The Government intends/anticipates to award this as a sole source award under FAR 6.302-1. The reason(s) why we believe this will be a sole source: Essex is the Original Equipment Manufacturer; Essex is the only known vendor that can provide repair and maintenance services on the NPTLOX systems used on military aircraft for aeromedical evacuation operations; Essex maintains personnel properly trained in depot maintenance; Essex does not currently offer training or sell OEM parts to other companies. Request any responsible party that believes it is equally or otherwise uniquely capable of meeting the requirements, submit a response by 21 July 2015.
