- Pre-Solicitation Notice The U.S. Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command, (MICC), Fort Benning, intends to issue a solicitation for Non-Standard Ammunition to support the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit. The resulting contract will be for one delivery of multiple ammunitions. The requirement will be set-aside for small businesses. The designated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 332992 Small Arms Ammunition Manufacturing. The contractor shall be responsible for delivering multiple quantities and grades of ammunition of the following sizes AM21.223 Speer LE Gold Dot 64gr, AM31 Federal Cartridge GM762M2 7.62 175gr Sierra match, AM17 Cartridges 12 GA #6 shot, AM39 Federal LE132 00 Tactical Buckshot 12Gage 9 pellet 00 Buck, Flite control Wad 1145 FPS, AM36 Federal Gold Medal Plastic 12 Gauge #7.5, and AM38 Federal Hydra shok slug number LE 127RS. Interested parties must be registered in The System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible to receive a government contract. Registration information can be obtained at the sam.gov website. This solicitation will be a best value Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) subject to FAR Part 15.101-2 procedures. To be considered acceptable, offerors shall specifically address each of the items set forth in the solicitation. Sufficient detail should be provided citing specific data as may be required, such that the quote may be adequately evaluated. The government anticipates release of the solicitation on or about 29 July 20105. The quote due date would be scheduled for 10 calendar days after the date the solicitation is made available. These are projected dates and are subject to change. The media selected for issuance of Synopsis/Solicitation and amendments shall solely be at the discretion of the Government; accordingly, the media utilized for this project shall be the internet. Interested parties may download and print the solicitation from the FedBizOpps website http://www.fbo.gov. The Government reserves the right to cancel the solicitation either before or after the quote opening with no obligation to the offeror by the Government. Once the solicitation is posted, it is the responsibility of all interested parties to review the site for any updates/amendments to documents.
