- Justification and Approval Document The Commodity Futures Trading Commission ("CFTC") intends to negotiate/award a sole-source contract for repair and refresh support for the Activu Visualization System. CFTC currently has the Activu Visualization System at its offices in Washington, DC and Chicago, IL. The system has proprietary software that can only be supported by the manufacturer. The Government intends to procure this sole source requirement under Commercial procedures in FAR Part 12. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS and a solicitation will not be issued. However, the Government will consider responses from all responsible sources received by 11:30am EST, July 17, 2015. Written responses must include sufficient information to establish capability to fulfill the requirement. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. If no affirmative written responses are received by the response date award will be made without further notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses may be submitted to shong@cftc.gov.
