- Limited Sources Justification This extension will continue to support the management of the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and High-Altitude Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR) requirements and modernization program for ACC/A8Y. This extension will allow for contractor support for the following periods of performance: Option Period 3: June 29, 2015 through September 26, 2015 Option Period 4:September 27, 2015 through December 25, 2015 Option Periods 3 & 4 of this task order are put into place to cover the time it took for the client's internal contracting office, AMIC, to approve the use of GSA services and to confirm that the DoD Waiver was signed. The confirmation was not received until June 3, 2015, but the current and final option expires June 28, 2015, which does not permit GSA enough time to properly solicit for the recompete of this task order, especially considering the DoD requirement of posting the RFQ for thirty (30) days. As a result, GSA is extending this task order by the two 3-month options to allow an appropriate amount of time to compete and award the follow-on task order.
