- NOTICE TO INTERESTED PARTIES This presolicitation notice replaces the original notice dated May 27, 2015 in its entirety. The Forest Service, for continuity purposes, changed the solicitation number from AG-05M6-S-15-0033 to AG-0120-S-15-0032. When communicating with the Forest Service please use "AG-0120-S-15-0032" as the solicitation number. The FAR-required 15-day posting period for this requirement has been met as it was posted on FBO from May 27, 2015 to June 25, 2015. PROJECT DESCRIPTION This project consists of the complete removal and replacement of the existing metal roofing and gutters and downspouts, and providing an engineered roof-mounted snow-stop system on quadplexes, duplexes and warehouse at the Thorne Bay Ranger District in Thorne Bay, Alaska, and the Craig Ranger District Office in Craig, Alaska. Both locations are on Prince of Wales Island in Southeast Alaska. There are three quadplexes each with approximately 3,100 square feet of roofing to replace; five duplexes each with approximately 3,600 square feet; three quadplex garages each with approximately 1,400 square feet; the warehouse with approximately 20,000 square feet; and the gas and oil building with approximately 600 square feet. The Craig Office has approximately 6,000 square feet. PROJECT LOCATIONS * Thorne Bay Ranger District, Prince of Wales Island: 1312 Federal Way, PO Box 19001, Thorne Bay, AK, 99919- 0001 * Craig Ranger District, Prince of Wales Island: 504 9TH Street, Craig, AK, 99921-9998 CONTRACT TYPE Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP), Construction Contract (Davis-Bacon Act) DISCLOSURE OF THE MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECT (FAR 36.204) Between $1,000,000.00 - $5,000,000.00 (Base + Option Items) PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE Complete on or before September 30, 2016 DESIRED START DATE August 7, 2015 (estimated) BID, PAYMENT AND PERFORMANCE BONDS This project is estimated to be above the Simplified Acquisition Threshold of $150,000.00 so a bid bond, payment bond and performance bond will be required. PRE-BID MEETING The pre-bid meeting scheduled for Tuesday, July 14, 2015 is cancelled until further notice.
