- Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst Contracts Department intends to solicit on a brand name competitive basis a requirement for a three year fixed-price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract for the procurement of the following Jonathan Engineered Solutions (JES) cabinet components for the Fire Scout Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Ground Control Segment (GCS): Slide Assembly Kit (JES Part No. 1381037-KD); MAX QTY 66 each • Cable Carrier (JES Part No. CRS-25); MAX QTY 132 • 1U Cable Carrier (JES Part No. CRS-25-1U); MAX QTY 198 • JON 510 Series Slide (JES Part No. 510QD-20); MAX QTY 264 • Slide Rails, 26" Locking (JES Part No. 128QD-26); MAX QTY 66 The JES cabinet components identified above are the only components that have been tested and certified for use in the Fire Scout GCS system and meet all system specifications and tolerances. The Fire Scout UAV GCS (inclusive of the cabinet components identified above) has been tested and certified for form, fit, and function requirements. It was also tested and certified to ensure that the system operates in the required environmental conditions and meets all shock and vibration requirements. The system baseline was approved and all current technical drawings reflect the use of JES cabinet components. This action shall be competed amongst JES and its authorized distributors. The government intends to award this requirement under the authority of 41 USC 1901 Simplified Acquisition Procedures (Test Program for Certain Commercial Items). Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. For this solicitation, NAWCAD Lakehurst Contracts Department intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. An Offeror may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. All responsible Offerors that respond to this solicitation MUST submit the pricing portion of their bid using the online exchange located at www.FedBid.com. There is no cost to register, review procurement data or make a bid on www.FedBid.com. Offerors that are not currently registered to use www.FedBid.com should proceed to www.FedBid.com to complete their free registration.
