- This is a competitive 100% Small Business Set-aside Invitation for Bid (IFB). The acquisition is subject to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 237130 with a size standard of $36.5 million. This acquisition will be handled as an IFB prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subparts 14 and 36. A firm-fixed price contract award is contemplated. The project magnitude is estimated between $500,000 to $1,000,000. Place of performance will be the Olinda Substation in Shasta County, California. This project consists of furnishing all necessary labor, supervision, materials, licenses, permits, insurance, transportation, and equipment necessary to install Government-furnished 230-kV motor-operated disconnecting switches with grounding blades. Furnishing and installing equipment jumpers, grounding, conduit, terminal boxes, interface panels, motor operated disconnecting switch junction boxes, insulated conductors and cables, and substation signs. Furnishing and installing foundations and anchor bolts for substation structures, electrical equipment, and material. Performing site work, removing and reinstalling steel structures and electrical equipment, removing and disposing electrical equipment, and material. All work shall be in strict compliance with the specifications and drawings. The solicitation, specifications and drawings, and any subsequent amendments will only be available in electronic format, downloadable from the internet free of charge. No CD-ROMS or hardcopy documents will be distributed. Interested parties can download the solicitation at http://www.fbo.gov on or about July 29, 2015. Note: Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible for award.
