Description
The purpose of this Amendment (A003) is to revise the Statement of Work (SOW), extend the period of performance and clarify requirements, extend the due date of the Request for Quote (RFQ) to Friday, June 12, 2015 at 2:00 pm (PST), correct administrative errors on the RFQ, and add/consolidate attachments into ZIP files. Response to Contractor Questions-ONE See the Statement of Work (SOW) for additional details: Contractor will determine the appropriate lamps to retrofit existing High Pressure Sodium lamps, Q lamps and Metal Halide lamps at the Land Ports of Entry; Peace Arch, Pacific Highway, Sumas, Lynden and Border Patrol Headquarters in Blaine, WA. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items of non-personal service to complete the work timely and with a professional quality ensuring the final product is fully functioning LED lighting fixture. There are LED replacement bulb technologies available in the market that can operate in the existing light fixture and utilize the power output from the existing ballast to operate (i.e. they do not require rewiring of the fixture, and will accept new LED bulb in the existing lamp socket). The Government would consider this technology, as long as, the submitted bid price reflects a reduction in labor hours to retrofit these light fixtures, and the retrofitted fixtures meet the requirements specified in this statement of work. Additional work has been added via amendment (AMD001) for LED lamp requirements at the Border Patrol Headquarters in Blaine, WA. As such, a second site visit has been scheduled for May 27, 2015 at 10am and the due date for quotes has been extended to June 12, 2015 at 2pm PST.
