- The Navy's "Revolution in Training" establishes a new organizational training structure consisting of the Naval Personnel Development Command and its Learning Centers, and Training Support Commands/Detachments/ Learning Sites. Current Naval Courses are group-paced, self-paced, and/or computer-based instruction, criterion-referenced, instructor managed, learner-centric, and classroom and/or laboratory environment instructional systems. One of the Navy's Revolutions in Training goals is to incorporate the science of learning into naval curricula in order to improve proficiency, promote professional development, and reduce Total Time to Train. The training for Oxygen Equipment cleaning and calibration is performed at Corry Station, which is part of PSD Pensacola, FL. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Corona Division has the responsibility for program oversight and continuity for the Navy Oxygen Equipment Cleaning and Calibration Program which includes the required training and program responsibility. This tasking ensures certification, training and program compliance within the Navy Metrology Program. The government intends to award a sole-source, firm fixed priced contract to Sandiego Community College District. This procurement is commercial item IAW FAR Part 13.
