- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - St. Paul District intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the Crats Island Dredge Site Unloading Project, located in Pool 4 of the Upper Mississippi River near Wabasha, MN. The project consists of hydraulically transferring a minimum of 400,000 cubic yards of stockpiled dredge material from Crats Island to the Wabasha Gravel Pit via a pipeline route that is approximately 26,500 feet long. Crats Island is located on the Wisconsin (Buffalo County) side of the River near RM 759. The Wabasha Gravel Pit is located on the Minnesota (Wabasha County) side of the River near RM 761. Crats Island is without road access and has historically been used for the placement of material dredged from the main channel of the Mississippi River. Mechanical dredging will not be allowed. Alternative placement sites will not be allowed. The solicitation, including specifications and all other documents related to this procurement, will be available on the Federal Business Opportunities website (www.fbo.gov) on or around July 1, 2015. This procurement is UNRESTRICTED and will result in a firm-fixed-price contract with a Base requirement and seven (7) Options. The total estimated price for the Base requirement is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The total estimated price for the Base requirement and Options 1-7 is between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000. The North American Industry Classification system (NAICS) code is 237990 with a small business size of $27.5M. The completion date for the entire project is January 2018. It is the responsibility of interested parties to monitor this site for the solicitation and amendments.
